The PADI Open Water Course is the start of your diving
adventures.
Experienced divers
everywhere will tell you there is nothing better than diving.
To experience weightlessness and see some of the
most beautiful sights ever to be experienced on the earth with privileged
friends. It can involve the whole family your friends or anyone you wish to
dive with
Once you complete this course you will be a fully
qualified diver and awarded a certification PIC Card that carries your photo
and confirms your training and ability to dive.
This qualification is recognised worldwide,
allowing you to hire diving equipment and go diving with another suitably
qualified diver with or without supervision of an instructor.
You will be able to participate in continuing
education courses such as the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course and
exciting PADI Specialty courses which can eventually lead to the Master Scuba
Diver rating, the highest non-professional level of diver.
Who
can do it? Anyone
who is over the age of 10, in reasonable health and fairly comfortable in the
water. Those who are 10 to15 years of age will be awarded the Junior Open Water
Diver rating.
The
Open Water Diver Course is divided into three segments:
Course
Orientation Prior
to the commencement of your course you will be given a course pack and manual.
You will need to read and answer the knowledge reviews at the end of each
Module so that you are ready to review them with your instructor in the
classroom sessions. The course is run over 4 days, usually 2 weekends.
Academic
sessions. You will cover the basic principles and knowledge for safe and
enjoyable diving. Academic training takes place in one of our classrooms on
site where you will view a video and your instructor will then elaborate on the
information contained in the video using slides and talking about various
enjoyable diving experiences.
Confined
water sessions will be conducted in a heated swimming pool where you apply the
information you learned in the classroom and carry out the various basic skills
for diving.
Open
water sessions are at our local dive site you will participate in four Open
Water dives. Here you will demonstrate mastery of the skills you learned in the
pool and apply the academics you were taught in the classroom. This is where
the real adventure starts! On completion you will be awarded the Open Water
Diver certificate. Allowing you to dive anywhere in the world.
Open
Water course Fees NOW ONLY £415.00 Fully inclusive or £260.00 for the referral Option
where your open water dives can be complete abroad.
Includes
all academic and pool sessions and four open water-qualifying dives, logbook,
course materials and equipment. We highly recommend you buy your own mask,
snorkel, fins and boots for personal use and hygiene.
The
course fee does not include your own travel, parking or dive-site entry
(usually £5.00)

least 2 weeks before the course start date.
